Thank you for visiting.
Please take a look at my two Wisconsin-based novels. Both books are published by University of Wisconsin Press (“Eleven Miles” in 2018 and “South of Luck” in 2021) . Both books are Midwest Book Awards winners.
Eleven Miles to Oshkosh is an award-winning novel about about a 15-year old boy, Minnow Finwick, growing up in Neenah Wisconsin in the 70s. As the smallest boy in high school he is an easy target for stoners, grits, and dirtballs. These problems are compounded as he sets out to solve his father’s murder.
South of Luck is a work of historical fiction set in rural NW Wisconsin during WW2. A 16-year old ruffian, Milo Egerson, is sent away from his Minneapolis home to spend the summer on a farm with his great-uncle. Mom says the fresh air and hard work will be good for him. They both know that’s not the real reason.
